This explains, in plain English, what details we collect when you get in touch, why we collect them, and how we look after them. We keep things proportionate: we only ask for what we need to help you.

Who we are

GRO Exterior is a trading name of Grainger & Rossall Ltd. We supply and install made-to-measure roller garage doors from 1 Camp Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 6EN. For anything to do with your details, we are the data controller and you can reach us through our contact form.

What we collect

When you contact us or request a survey, we may collect:

  • Your name.
  • Your contact details (phone number and email address).
  • Your address and postcode, where you ask us to arrange a survey.
  • The details of your enquiry, including the model you are interested in and anything you tell us in your message.

In the future we plan to let you upload photos of your existing garage so we can prepare a more accurate quote. When we add that, those photos will be covered by this policy too, and we will only use them to help with your enquiry.

Why we collect it

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and arrange a free survey if you have asked for one. We do this to take the steps you have asked us to take and to run our business of providing garage doors. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months, after which we delete them, unless you go on to become a customer and we need to keep records to carry out the work or to meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them beyond what is needed to provide our service. To deliver your enquiry to us by email we use a trusted third-party form-handling service, and our website is hosted on a reputable cloud platform. These providers only process your details on our behalf and are not permitted to use them for their own purposes.

Cookies and third parties

Our website does not set any cookies of its own, and we do not use analytics or any visitor-tracking tools. We do not load third-party content as you browse the site. The only third party involved is the form-handling service that delivers your message to us when you send the contact form.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete them. To request access to or deletion of your data, please use our contact form and we will sort it out. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can also contact the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
